A Global Commerce Review from Criteo recently highlighted that Apps had the biggest share of e-commerce transactions in Q4 2017 among North American retailers with shopping apps.
This means retailers must go beyond investing in mobile commerce and focus on building apps. The report notes:
- Apps account for 66% of mobile sales
- Mobile apps were the most popular e-commerce channel in Q4 2017
- In North America, the conversion rate on shopping apps is more than 3 times higher than it is on mobile
- Mobile is the majority of transactions for retailers with a shopping app – Apps share of global e-commerce transactions reached 46% in the quarter, up 48% year over year
With this tremendous growth of shopping apps, one thing is certain: the threat of counterfeit apps will rise. To see how your brand is being represented in over 40 global marketplaces, and to learn how we can help protect your brands, please drop us a note to request a free brand report.
